The app confirms your key with our payment provider when you activate it, then about once a month. In between, and for a month after any failed check, it works with no network at all — a flight will never cost you your licence.
Nothing switches off the moment you cancel. Access lasts until the period you have paid for ends, then the app returns to the free tier — your services and settings stay exactly where they are.
